Welcome
to the official website from Reactor Studios Amsterdam, more commonly known as RSA. We're a collective of drum 'n bass DJ's and producers from Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Our history goes back a long way, just like this website. On this site you can find a selection from our catalogue of drum 'n bass we produced over the years, drum 'n bass mixes from our resident DJ's, our own written and researched drum 'n bass info section, and much more. All material we provide on this site is free to obtain, and underscored by some core aspects we hold high, like novelty and creativity.
The origins of RSA; when and why?
The first studio was found in 1997, and RSA became an online resource for drum 'n bass in 1999. It has been maintained over the years by producer Reactor Grits along with a crew consisting out of Drome, Splinter, Phuture-T & Logikz. Since RSA originated it has been part of, or collaborating with many dnb crews such as Kontact Kru, 2079-e, Breakbeat Terrorism, Usva and many others. Since 2003 RSA also expanded it's field with professional DJ'ing, which resulted in having our own resident DJ's Phuture-T and Splinter (which are also official producers for the house). All 5 RSA members also have been a production force named Dam Nation since 2004, and all intertwine in many collaboration forces going under many names.
Due to the success of the fruits from our studios in time, this site is dedicated to showing the high quality of music and DJ skills that drum 'n bass can provide, and to give regulars and outsiders a chance to learn more about drum 'n bass culture. RSA is and always has been a solely independent outlet, a non-commercial free area for all junglists, junglettes, b-boys and b-girls, party people, and all others that seek the spirit of true underground music.
The RSA website itself; what and where?
On the top of the page you can find various sections which cover everything RSA provides online. RSA has a large catalogue of drum 'n bass tunes going back to the mid-nineties, which can be downloaded and listened to free of charge. The latest from our catalogue can be found in the 'RSA tunes' section where you can fetch many music from our members, including remixes and co-operations. We have carefully selected all our material to make sure we stay true to what we strife to provide; high quality material in the senses of innovation and creativity.
In the 'DJ mixes' section you can download many drum 'n bass DJ sets from the RSA resident DJ's Phuture-T and Splinter, and guestmixes from non-residents. The mixes frequently feature our newest projects, the scene's freshest dubplates and never-to-be-released material. We showcase a new mix at the start of every month.
RSA provides it's DJ's for drum 'n bass parties nationwide, so if you want to catch us soon at an RSA rave, look in the 'RSA DJ gigs' section to see where our next mashup takes place. In the 'Contact' section you can find out how to reach us for bookings. If you wish to chat with us about RSA, drum 'n bass production or anything in general, sign up in our forum in the 'forum' section and get involved!
If you wish to expand your knowledge about drum 'n bass, we recommend you check out our very own written and researched 'dnb info' section which includes a vocabulary, history and recommended names section. And next to info about RSA itself (in the 'About RSA' section) and our artists (in the 'Profiles' section), you can find heaps of worthy links in line with our project in the 'Links' section. All concluded, we wish you a pleasant ride.
